What is Ragging?
Ragging is any behavior that causes physical or emotional harm, or creates a hostile environment for a student. This includes:
- Physical abuse or assault
- Verbal abuse or harassment
- Forced participation in activities
- Exploitation or intimidation

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Preventing and addressing ragging incidents
- Conducting workshops and awareness programs
- Providing counseling and support to victims
- Investigating and taking action against perpetrators
Consequences of Ragging:
Ragging is a serious offense that can result in:
- Suspension or expulsion from college
- Fines or penalties
- Criminal charges
Procedure for Reporting Ragging:

Student Grievance Redressal Committee
At Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology we are committed to providing a fair, transparent, and supportive environment for all students, faculty, and staff. The Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) is established to address and resolve grievances in a timely and effective manner.
Purpose:
The purpose of the GRC is to provide a platform for students, faculty, and staff to report their grievances and concerns, and to ensure that these are addressed in a fair, impartial, and confidential manner.
Scope:
The GRC will address grievances related to:
– Academic matters
– Administrative issues
– Infrastructure and facilities
– Harassment and discrimination
– Other concerns affecting the college community
Procedure for Filing a Grievance:
To file a grievance, please follow these steps:
- Submit a written complaint to the GRC Chairperson of the committee.
- Provide detailed information about the grievance, including dates, times, and locations.
- The GRC will review and investigate the grievance.
- The GRC will communicate its findings and recommendations to the complainant.
Confidentiality:
All grievances will be treated confidentially, and the identity of the complainant will be protected.

The NCC provides opportunities to the youth of the country for their all-round development with a sense of Duty, Commitment, Dedication, Discipline and Moral Values so that they become able leaders and useful citizens. The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities, with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training. The NCC is open to all regular students of college on a voluntary basis. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook and the spirit of unity.
Lachoo Memorial College of Science and Technology has a strength of 50 cadets. It is functioning under the guidance of 4 Raj. (AIR) SQN. NCC, Jodhpur since 2006.
Various Activities are organized by our NCC unit like Training Camps, Social Service, Leadership Training camps, Cultural Activities, Firing/ shooting Practice, Awareness campaigns and Specialized Training like mountaineering, aero-modeling, para-sailing etc.
On January 26, 2024, Cadet Warrant Officer Krishna Rathore from our unit participated in the prestigious Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, Delhi. She was the only girl selected from the unit, marking a significant achievement.

Training and Placement Cell of Lachoo Memorial College plays a vital role in shaping the career of its students by grooming them to make them employable. The cell is geared up to provide its quality services not only in employment to students during studies, but also their employability through well planned and organized training and personality development programmes and holistic development to face the challenges of corporate world. The cell also organizes seminars, group discussions, and mock interviews as a part of career guidance and personality development.
The placement cell organises campus interviews to facilitate appropriate placement and exposure of the students.
It provides complete support to the visiting companies at every stage of placement process like arrangements for Pre-Placement Talks, Written Tests – online/offline, Interviews and Group Discussions as per the requirement of visiting companies. The Cell has modern infrastructure facilities for receiving various companies in the campus and state of the art auditorium for conducting campus interviews.
It gives us immense pleasure to see our students scaling new heights in their career, the advent of which is through Campus recruitment. The Placement team works day in and day out to ensure that the best of the corporate visits us to recruit our students thus ensuring that a right foundation is given to the students in addition to academics.
